I’ve been an internet professional for a while now. 2012 was the year that HTML 5 started to make inroads into my life. I coded a page or two using using some of its features. Then I realised that I didn’t understand HTML5.
The problem: HTML5 is not XHTML with some clever new features. HTML5 is a new version of the language – new syntax, new tags, new attributes, deprecated tags and attributes. Some stuff that looks the same…but isn’t.
So these pages are aimed at people like me – people with an XHTML head who want to get their noodle round HTML5. If you don’t know HTML, or don’t know what XHTML is, it may not be for you.
These pages are split into a couple of sections:
- Background and Basics
- Cool new stuff
I’ve been an internet professional for a while now. I want to learn to use HTML5 right.
